Mountain View's first ever Mountain View Reads Together takes
place this November (2006). This program creates a shared community
experience by offering a series of events related to one book.
The book selected for the first Mountain View Reads Together is Blink by Malcolm Gladwell. You are encouraged to read or listen to Blink,
and then participate in the free activities. You don't even have to
read the book to take part, but you will get more out of the experience
if you do read the book. The action will be at the library and
throughout the city during November.
Blink is about
rapid decision making. Everyone makes decisions. When can we trust fast
decisions? What affects them? How can we manage them?
Join in this community conversation about decision making and Blink!
This program is presented by local activities group, ParadigmHill Mountain View, with sponsorship from the City of Mountain View Public Library.
Do you have a print disability?
Blink is available in accessible formats for members of the community
that may be visually impaired or print disabled.
Bookshare.org, part of Benetech, a local non-profit offering alternative
format books for the print disabled community is happy to participate
with Mountain View Reads Together and is offering a complimentary download of Blink in accessible format for those that have print disabilities.
